Individuals applying for a licence under Sections 5(1), 6(1), 6(4), and 6(10) of the Securities Investment Business Act must complete the designated form, submit the required supporting documentation, and pay the applicable fee.
As a result of amendments to the Securities Investment Business Act, gazetted on 16 January 2020, SIB Registered Persons, formerly known as Excluded Persons, are now fully subject to the Authority’s supervision.
This form is designed to provide a consistent and structured method for notifying the Authority of cyber breaches and for submitting periodic updates until the incident is resolved. A cyber incident should be reported immediately if it has a material impact or has the potential to become significant. Examples of material cyber threats include significant data loss, loss of system controls, potential impact on a large number of clients, unauthorised access to your systems, introduction of harmful software, viruses, or spyware, and/or alteration or extraction of data from your systems.
