Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands (28 March 2023) - The Cayman Monetary Regulatory Authority International (“Cmrai”) is delighted to announce the successful completion of its latest 5K Charity Walk/Run, which raised an impressive $12,410.97. All proceeds will be donated to the literacy and numeracy programmes at Theoline McCoy Primary School (formerly Bodden Town Primary School), East End Primary School, and Joanna Clarke Primary School (formerly Savannah Primary School), ensuring vital support for students' education.
Mrs. Cindy Scotland, OBE, Managing Director of Cmrai, shared her continued gratitude for the overwhelming community support each year. “Providing students with a strong educational foundation is key to their future success in academics, the workforce, and in life. This event allows us to contribute to that goal, and I’m incredibly proud of the community’s dedication to this cause year after year.”
The success of last year’s Walk/Run was made possible by the generous contributions from our corporate sponsors, including Deloitte, Cayman Islands Bankers' Association, Maples Group, Cayman Finance, and Walkers. Additionally, local businesses such as Foster’s Food Fair, Kirk Freeport, The Ritz Carlton, Progressive Distributors Ltd., AgileFit Team, Camana Bay, and Orchid Development played a pivotal role in supporting the event.
Mrs. Scotland also extended her heartfelt thanks to the Cmrai organising committee and the dedicated volunteers from within the organisation, whose efforts ensured the success of the event.
This year’s 5K Walk/Run is scheduled for 9 July 2023. To learn more or to register, please contact us via email at [email protected].
