Network Administrator – Information Systems
The Network Administrator will be responsible for the oversight, configuration, and management of Cmrai’s computer networks. This role involves not only maintaining and monitoring the organization’s existing networks but also customizing and optimizing network systems to meet the specific needs of the organization. The Network Administrator will ensure the secure and efficient operation of all network systems, providing a stable IT environment to support the organization’s goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Managing and maintaining the organization’s network infrastructure, including servers, routers, switches, and firewalls;
- Configuring and deploying network hardware and software to meet operational needs and ensure security;
- Monitoring network performance and troubleshooting issues to ensure optimal operation and minimal downtime;
- Implementing and managing network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems;
- Ensuring the reliability and availability of network resources through regular maintenance, updates, and backups;
- Customizing and optimizing the network architecture to support the organization’s changing needs;
- Collaborating with the IT team to integrate new technologies and solutions into the existing network;
- Providing technical support and guidance to users regarding network-related issues;
- Documenting network configurations, changes, and procedures to maintain a comprehensive record of the network environment;
- Staying updated on the latest developments in network technology and best practices to keep the organization’s network secure and efficient;
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant IT and data protection regulations;
- Assisting in disaster recovery planning and execution, ensuring network resilience and data protection in case of emergencies.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited institution;
- At least 5 years of experience in network administration, with a strong background in managing complex network systems;
- In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, security systems, and best practices for network management;
- Experience with network hardware such as routers, switches, and firewalls, as well as network monitoring tools;
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot network issues quickly and effectively;
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users;
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+ are highly preferred;
- Experience with cloud networking and virtualization technologies is an asset;
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities;
- A proactive approach to network management, with a focus on continuous improvement and security.
